Sándor Silye lives in Székesfehérvár and has been working with wine for more than 20 years. As a journalist and staff member of the Fejér County Newspaper, he initially wrote about local wines from Fejér County, primarily in order to promote and raise the profile of wine culture, as he believed that this aspect of everyday culture deserved more attention. Later on, he steadily broadened the scope of his activities, extending them beyond the county.
In addition to writing for the newspaper, he has created his own platform, promoting the importance of wine and the harmony of food and wine on his blog. He has been a finalist in the WebWineWriting competition twice and was the category winner in 2022.
As the owner of Dekantalo.blog.hu he is doing her job, determined to put wine culture at the centre of life - hopefully not at high school level!
His motto: "Everyone has the good wine that they like. And the parameters are there to give scientists and professionals a kick in the pants, and to create a realistic basis for pricing."
